Start with the decision, not the activity

Growth conversations often begin with a list of actions: enter a market, hire a team, launch an offer, or invest in a new system. The difficult question comes first: what must be true for this move to create meaningful value?

A precise challenge gives people a shared point of reference. It makes assumptions visible, narrows the evidence that matters, and prevents motion from being mistaken for progress.

Make the problem specific

Describe the gap in observable terms: the customer behavior, financial result, operating constraint, or leadership decision that needs to change. Then agree on the boundary of the work and the measure that would prove the problem is improving.

Clarity creates pace

When the challenge is clear, teams can move faster with less friction. Priorities become easier to compare, ownership becomes easier to assign, and new information can improve the plan without constantly changing the destination.
